The Dingzhu Approach: Perception + Force, Dual Guarantee

Laser scanning locates the copper part; adaptive trajectory removes position error; compliant force control applies just the right gentle pressure. Bright, scratch-free finish every time.

01

Sense & Locate

Laser / vision scanning captures the actual 3D position & pose of the copper part

02

Adaptive Trajectory

Robot path is dynamically corrected — position error eliminated before contact

03

Gentle Force Grind

Compliant force control holds constant, low-pressure contact for scratch-free removal

04

Bright, Stable Output

Uniform high-gloss copper finish from first piece to last — no operator dependence

  • PERCEPTION GUIDE

Which Sensing Method to Choose?

Three mainstream perception approaches. For copper’s complex shapes and soft surface, we prioritize laser line scanning.

3D Laser Line Scanning

Scans the part to build a 3D contour and correct the trajectory with high precision. Best for complex copper curves, reliefs and large clamp deviation.

  • Principle: laser profile → 3D contour → trajectory correction

  • Accuracy: ±0.05mm

  • Best for: complex shapes, large deviation

Force-Probing Locating

A force sensor lightly touches the part to probe its position and compensate. Low cost, but limited to simpler geometry.

  • Principle: physical touch probe detects position

  • Cost: Low

  • Best for: simple shapes, distinct features

Vision Photography Positioning

An industrial camera captures the whole-part outline to compute and correct clamping deviation.

  • Principle: photograph outline → correct clamping offset
  • Cost: Moderate

  • Best for: lower-precision positioning needs

  • ABRASIVE BELT SELECTION

Don’t Let a Few-Dollar Belt Ruin a Copper Finish

For soft copper, the belt must cut without digging or clogging. Three rules we apply.

Recommended Belt Linear Speed by Process (Copper)

Process Linear Speed (m/s)
Deburring 18 – 25
Copper Polishing 20– 28
Satin / Brushed Finish 8 – 15
Mirror / Bright Finish 10 – 20
Cleaning & Harmonizing 10 – 18
